Preparations in Delhi,India is on a roll to host Common Wealth Games 2010. The countdown has begin for the mega event.I came across article recently stating required infrastructure and necessary arragements are being accomplished for the event but one line struck me,cleaning Delhi city is not just the responsibility of government the citizens should also contribute in this work, so very true. Government have done and is doing its part of work, people should realise even they have got to contribute to make such an event a grand success.We must present to the world clean and friendly environment.Citizens and Government must work as team,hand in hand then the work will happen on the fly.Here's an opputunity for India to potray its potential to such a vast number of countries,making this event happen smoothly is a biggest challenge in a country like India.
To tell it clear cut, we lack concern in public place cleanliness. People don't bother or realise that its their responsibility to keep public places clean. Cribing about departments not cleaning will not solve the problem, one has start from himself/herself and consider it has his/her own property and act accordingly.
Lets take act of littering,people don't realise its repercussions.They just think litter just passes by wind and gets off the road, but forget that it gets collected in surrounding piles up and makes the whole road awful to travel.Stringent laws have to be enforced like high fines, laws such that people must dare not to break the law. Its just not only illiterate who act irresponsible, shocking is to see educated people doing so. People have got in minds,anyways it will not change its been the same since when I was kid so why bother and they continue doing the same, they should realise change should begin and even if some realise,they fail to realise that change can begin by that very individual and there are few people who do realise and thats appreciable.
I remember myself littering when I was a kid, and I used to enjoy throwing it out of our car while travelling as it was fun to see it swrill in air, eventually I relaised my mistake. To my surprise my elders didn't bother to correct me then as its trivial for them. Whatever small thing I would have thrown its not the place for it to be, it had to go into the bin I was making road way my bin. If everybody does the same, just imagine the extent of litter piles on roads. This is just one of act where civilians mustbe responsible.
Many such acts of us, though we do knowing or unknowing it affect us in big way. So people should act and be the change.Its nice to see changes for better but its nicer to be the part of change and nicest to intitate the change.

The Japanese Wife
‘Love’ the favourite and most common topics for movie makers, to add to this huge collection here’s ’The Japanese Wife’ its uncommon and simple love story.
Story is about Snehamoy and Miyage. Snehamoy is a teacher living in India and Miyage is his pen friend living in Japan. Both don’t know each others language, not very well versed with English too having know language of love they share and express feelings for each other. Though havn’t seen or met each other due to their own constraints and felt each other in their arms they decided to walk hand in hand for their rest of their life’s and get married.Its truly said Love has no bounds and barriers. Years passed after marriage but letters, gifts and occasional phone calls were the way through which they shared their feelings and thoughts. Being miles apart, love and concern still deep with them they remained faithful towards their marriage. Deep desire in both to meet and live together as husband and wife but caught in the game of life they spent 15 years of their marriage living apart. Meeting and living together remained as a dream unfulfilled. Finally Miyage comes to visit Snehamoy’s home and family as his widow.
Movie though surreal is very touching and well shot. Amazing acting by all characters and beautifully picturised.

Resolution of Constant's in Java
Variables declared with keywords static and final are constants in java. Constants are resolved at compile time.
Consider the below code,
public class StudentType {
public static final boolean isNewStudent = true;
}
public class Student {
public static void main(String args[]) {
if(StudentType.isNewStudent) {
System.out.println("Welcome to our Institution!!");
}
}
}
When the Class Student is compiled, bytecode for main method includes the body of if statement but not for the check of StudentType.isNewStudent value.The constant pool of Student class has no symbolic reference to class StudentType, its value is placed in if condition and will not change as it is declared final.
However if you change the source code of class StudentType and set the variable to false and recompile the class StudentType and execute class Student then if statement gets executed as before, as the value of StudentType.isNewStudent was assigned at compile time. In order for the change to reflect Student class also has to be recompiled and then executed.
Whereas if the StudentType.isNewStudent were resolved at runtime time then it's value would be checked at each execution of Student class and thus change would have been reflected hence if statement wouldn't be included in bytecodes.
Consider the below code,
public class StudentType {
public static final boolean isNewStudent = true;
}
public class Student {
public static void main(String args[]) {
if(StudentType.isNewStudent) {
System.out.println("Welcome to our Institution!!");
}
}

The Public Libraries - treasure of the city
After staying for about year and half in Cincinnati, the most appreciating thing in city are The Public Libraries. Main Library resides in downtown of Cincinnati and has about 41 branches spread across the city. Blueash libarary is the one I visit regular,to name few it has wide collections of fiction and non-fiction books, DVD's, documentaries, magazines, audiobooks. All the branches of city are interconnected, one can browse the catalog of library online and order books through the personal account assigned and if material is not available at the location one wants there is provision to order online to pick up at the desired location,if material is not available place hold and can be delivered to required location.It has got drop box too, you can return the material any time of the day. One can also renew materials online.
Apart from encourage all to read from their large collection of resource they host many programs for all age groups.Kids have story telling hour and many personality development sessions. They have summer reading program where goodies are given to people depending the number of books they read, specially motivating kids. There are knitting classes too, discussions on book are also conducted.Totally an amazing platform for people to engage themselves into reading wide range of subjects, interact with like minded reader through discussions or be a part of library by voluteering. One big greet to Public library to provide us with such excellent service, its treat for all readers.

Tring Tring....
Few lines about the transition which I have seen in ways of communication.
I was very excited to see a telephone when my mom bought it home for the first time,it was red in color.In 1990's getting a telephone connection at home(i hail from Bangalore,India) was a long procedure wherein we had to wait for years. My mom bought telephone on the fly almost 6 months before we got connection,my brother and I were very excited to see it. We used to talk over it as if we where really communicating with the other person, this was daily routine. It was our favorite toy and once during our regular fights it happened so that telephone banged on to floor from my hand and though didn't get dismantled was sure enough harm had done to make it useless for the rest of its life,later that month at last we got telephone connection and the operator who had arrived connected the telephone cable to our telephone and then guess what it didn't work, I had kept my fingers crossed but couldn't help.We had used it to maximum before actually getting connection, now after getting connection it was of no use, we tried getting it repaired but in vain. Till date it remains a toy for us in our memories.
Then came pagers handy and compact devices to be in touch with people, then the rulers of the present communication world Mobiles. Mobile calls where so expensive, both incoming,outgoing and even missed calls where charged now its so very affordable to everybody.
Now the most I use is voice over internet, I talk almost daily to my mom and friends through either gtalk, yahoo messager,skype and it costs not even a penny.Thanks to internet and these amazing tools. Internet has really shrinked the world, the amount of information get exchanged is really unimaginable.Because of all these competition now calling cards like Union telecard,Airtel,Reliance Icall are affordable too, gone are the days to receive shocking telephone bills.

First Entry
Writing is way to communicate but it is difficult. People who can write pages together easily are really skilled I must say. Though many thoughts keep propping up in mind, it is very difficult to put those thoughts in words and make it interesting for the world to read and that is what blogging is all about. Here I step into the world of blogging, an attempt by me to flood my thoughts.
As kid I remember writting short stories, but down the line I didn't realise when I stopped writing and today repent why did I ever stop writing stories. Well one can't change the past, I wish to continue writing from now after a long hiatus.
