Tring Tring....

Few lines about the transition which I have seen in ways of communication.
I was very excited to see a telephone when my mom bought it home for the first time,it was red in color. In 1990's getting a telephone connection at home(i hail from Bangalore,India) was a long procedure wherein we had to wait for years. My mom bought telephone on the fly almost 6 months before we got connection,my brother and I were very excited to see it. We used to talk over it as if we where really communicating with the other person, this was daily routine. It was our favorite toy and once during our regular fights it happened so that telephone banged on to floor from my hand and though didn't get dismantled was sure enough harm had done to make it useless for the rest of its life, later that month at last we got telephone connection and the operator who had arrived connected the telephone cable to our telephone and then guess what it didn't work, I had kept my fingers crossed but couldn't help.We had used it to maximum before actually getting connection, now after getting connection it was of no use, we tried getting it repaired but in vain. Till date it remains a toy for us in our memories.

Then came pagers handy and compact devices to be in touch with people, then the rulers of the present communication world Mobiles. Mobile calls where so expensive, both incoming, outgoing and even missed calls where charged now its so very affordable to everybody.

Now the most I use is voice over internet, I talk almost daily to my mom and friends through either gtalk, yahoo messager, skype and it costs not even a penny. Thanks to internet and these amazing tools. Internet has really shrinked the world, the amount of information get exchanged is really unimaginable.Because of all these competition now calling cards like Union telecard,Airtel,Reliance Icall are affordable too, gone are the days to receive shocking telephone bills.
